Biography
Alan K. Chuang, a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder, Certified Financial Planner practitioner, and Certified Public Accountant, has been involved in the finance industry for over 25 years. After graduating from U.C. Berkeley's Haas School of Business he spent several years working for Ernst & Young LLP, auditing the financial statements of Fortune 500 companies. To round out his business studies, he received his Masters of Business Administration with a focus on marketing and corporate strategy from the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business.
With a desire to apply the knowledge he gained in practical applications and spreading his entrepreneurial wings, he acquired and operated an independent franchised business, quadrupling its value in five years. The sale of that business provided the capital to begin a small hedge fund focused on small cap stocks and provided the initial platform in developing his research philosophy. Pursuing an opportunity to broaden his investment knowledge and financial planning skills for individual investors, he joined an investment management firm for several years, where he served as portfolio manager for over $100 million in client assets. That experience also allowed him to refine his financial planning knowledge in serving the unique needs of clients from diverse professions (business owners to medical professionals) and stages of life (those starting their careers to those already in retirement). However, realizing his vision for client service was not being fulfilled he returned to operating independently within the firm TwoTalents Capital Management. Mr. Chuang's varied investment and business experience and academic background provide a unique set of skills and perspective in serving the investment and wealth management needs of his clients.
Mr. Chuang lives in San Marino with his wife and two children.
